The Department of Religion and Culture (www.rc.vt.edu) at Virginia Tech seeks applications for a full-time instructor. The qualified candidate will teach 8 courses per year. (See our list of departmental courses at http://www.rc.vt.edu/undergraduate/courses/index.html). Preference will be given to candidates who can teach from among the following existing courses:
· Judaism, Christianity, and Islam
· New Testament
· Religion in the Modern World
· Religion in American Life
· Introduction to Humanities and the Arts
The position carries a competitive salary and full benefits. The position carries an initial appointment for one year but the contract may be renewed, subject to departmental approval and budgetary considerations. Ph.D. or evidence of completion by August 2016 required.
