The School for International Studies at Simon Fraser University seeks candidates for a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer, to begin in September 2016. International Studies offers undergraduate streams in International Security and Conflict, Comparative World Politics, Culture and Society, International Development, and Economic and Environmental Issues, and graduate streams in International Development and Governance and Conflict.
Applicants should have a doctoral degree, a strong track record of effective teaching, and be able to teach in more than one stream at the undergraduate and graduate level. A strong grounding in one or more regions is also desirable.
Applications will be treated in confidence and should include a letter of application with a statement of interest, a complete teaching portfolio (full syllabi, evaluations, brief statement of teaching philosophy and full list of courses taught), and curriculum vitae. Applicants should also arrange for three reference letters to be sent independently.
