The Religious Studies Program in Arts and Sciences at Washington University in St. Louis, in partnership with the John C. Danforth Center on Religion and Politics, seeks to fill a full-time lecturer position to begin in the fall semester of 2016, with possibility of renewal up to three years. The candidate must be able to teach the core introductory courses for the major, including “Thinking About Religion” and “Theories and Methods in the Study of Religion,” along with more specialized courses. Primary field of study is open, though areas of particular interest to the program include: religion and media studies, religion and science/technology, and religion and globalization. PhD in Religious Studies or related field and relevant teaching experience are required.
