The Department of History & Political Science at Millikin University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Political Science, with an emphasis on international politics and history, commencing August 2016. The ideal candidate will be able to teach courses in international politics, international relations, American foreign policy, international law, and related non-western history. A preferred candidate will guide performance learning opportunities for students including internships and Model UN government. International education teaching or leadership expertise is also highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate ongoing research in the relevant areas. A doctorate in Political Science is expected, but we will consider candidates who have made significant progress on completing requirements of the Ph.D. Strong preference will be given to candidates with a commitment to excellence in teaching and the ability to involve undergraduates in research.
Millikin University is a private, comprehensive institution serving approximately 2,300 undergraduate, graduate, full-time and part-time students who study in four colleges/schools: Arts and Sciences, Business, Fine Arts and Professional Studies.
