ROLE of the POSITION
The History Department at the University of Nevada Las Vegas invites applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level in the history of China with an ability to teach broadly in the history of East Asia. Area of specialization is open. The department seeks to enhance its world history program and further UNLV’s mission as a Title III Minority Serving Institution (Asian American, Native American, and Pacific Islander-Serving Institution, or AANAPISI). Letters of application should be accompanied by a curriculum vitae and three letters of reference.
QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in history or a related discipline from a regionally accredited college or university prior to start of appointment.
SALARY RANGE
Salary competitive with those at similarly situated institutions. Position is contingent upon funding.
