The Department of Africana Studies, Binghamton University, invites applications for a tenure-track, entry-level position in the history of East Africa or Southern Africa, with corresponding interests in the African Diaspora in the Indian Ocean or the Atlantic world. Appointment will become effective at the start of the academic year 2016-2017. Applicants should have a record of excellence in research and teaching.
Applicants must have: a Ph.D. relating to Africa and the African Diaspora, a strong commitment to teaching, and an active and innovative research program. Salary is commensurate with experience.
