The Department of East Asian Languages and Civilizations of the University of Chicago is accepting applications for a one-year, renewable Lecturer appointment in modern Korean language to start in academic year 2016-17.
Responsibilities include teaching in a comprehensive program in Korean-language studies at both beginning and advanced levels. Applicants should have native or near-native fluency in Korean and previous language teaching experience at the college level. An M.A. degree or equivalent is required. A Ph.D. in second-language acquisition or a related field is desirable, but not mandatory.
