The Sam Nunn School of International Affairs at Georgia Tech invites applications for a tenure-track or tenured faculty position in China studies at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor to begin Fall 2016. We seek applicants with a research and teaching focus on Chinese foreign and security policy, and/or Chinese science & technology policy. Applicants with interdisciplinary backgrounds that include expertise in other areas of China studies such as politics, law, and economic development are also encouraged to apply. All applicants should show promise or evidence of outstanding scholarly achievement. The ideal candidate would have a theoretical and comparative perspective, Chinese language skills, and field experience in Greater China. S/he will also have the opportunity to direct the Nunn School’s summer study abroad program in China and East Asia.
The Sam Nunn School is multidisciplinary and has undergraduate, graduate, and overseas programs. The School has 21 faculty members; more than 300 undergraduate majors, 50 Master’s and 10 Ph.D. degree students.
