History of Native Americans. The Department of History at Central Michigan University invites applications for a two-year post-doctoral teaching fellowship in the History of Native Americans, with competence in additional fields of American history. Preferred specialization in Great Lakes or Eastern Woodlands. The position begins in August 2015. The successful candidate will teach a three-course load each semester, to include the History of Native American survey and other courses as assigned. The department offers the opportunity to work with graduate students in its Joint Doctoral Program in Transnational and Comparative History. Ph.D. in History required by time of appointment. The successful applicant must demonstrate potential for excellence in both teaching and scholarship. The position is opened until filled, but priority consideration will be given to applications completed by March 12, 2015.
