Assistant Professor
The Department of Political Science at Howard University seeks applications for a tenure-track
position in Research Methods, specializing in public opinion or electoral behavior, at the rank of
Assistant Professor beginning in August 2015. Teaching responsibilities include undergraduate and
graduate courses in survey methods, public opinion and electoral behavior, and formal modeling.
Candidates must have Ph.D. in hand by August 2015.
Candidates should submit: (1) a letter of application that includes a statement of teaching interests,
research interests, experiences, and future plans; (2) a current CV; (3) names and contact information
for three references; and (4) a sample of written work. Applications should be complete by February
27, 2015 to ensure full consideration; however, the search will continue until the position is filled.
