The Department of History at Texas A&M University—Commerce (Commerce, Texas) is seeking applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor to start in the Fall 2015 semester.
Ph.D. in History required by time of appointment. Major historical field must be United States history with a focus in a related twentieth century topic. Graduate field, minor, graduate certificate, or significant experience in oral history research also required. Preference given to candidates whose specializations do not duplicate those of the faculty in the department. The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in their fields of specialization and the U.S. history survey course, conduct scholarly research, and provide service to the university and community.
