The History Program at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College is seeking a historian for a full-time, two-year, lecturer in World History beginning Fall 2015. This position may be renewable; there is the possibility that this position will be converted into a tenure-track, assistant professor position at the end of the second year. The candidate should have an area of specialization in Africa, Asia, Latin America, or the Middle East. The position entails a 3-4 teaching load, including a two-part World History sequence as well as survey and upper division courses in the candidate’s area of expertise. A successful candidate must be an excellent teacher with an active research agenda and should have received a PhD no later than August 2015.
