The Department of History, Anthropology, and Philosophy at the University of North Georgia, Dahlonega Campus, invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Anthropology. Field specialization in Africa or the Middle East is preferred. Experience in Cultural Resource Management is a plus.
Duties include: teaching introductory level courses in Archaeology and Cultural Anthropology along with upper level courses for a total of 12 credit hours per semester; engaging in departmental, community, and university service; research and publication.
Located north of Atlanta, the University of North Georgia is a state-supported, coeducational, multiĀ-campus institution of approximately 16,000 students known for its academic excellence. The Dahlonega campus is a residential community of approximately 6,000 students nestled in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains.
Anticipated hire date is August 2015. The candidate must have a Ph.D. in hand by the start of the appointment in August 2015.
