The Department of English Language and Literature at the University of Michigan expects to make an appointment in 2015-2016 in Anglophone African Literature. This position is open rank. We are particularly interested in scholars whose work is deeply grounded in historical, geographical, and linguistic specificity. We are also open to scholarship that engages with multiple historical periods, geographical contexts, languages, and/or methods. Candidates should be prepared to teach survey and seminar courses in Anglophone African Literature.
