Marquette University invites applications for an Assistant Professor in the Department of Educational Policy and Leadership in the College of Education with a specialization in Social Studies Education. We seek teacher-scholars who have a promising or established record of research and publication, and effective teaching experiences in K-12 schools and higher education. The successful candidate will teach and advise in our undergraduate and graduate programs, conduct and publish research, engage in service activities within the University, and be part of our ongoing discussion on the role of social justice in education. Start date is August 17, 2015. Salary is competitive.
Qualifications: Applicants must have a doctorate in education or a social science content area with a focus on social studies education. The ideal candidate will have strong disciplinary content knowledge, K-12 teaching experience in the social sciences, and expertise in and a commitment to teacher education.
