The Department of History and Classical Studies of McGill University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of assistant professor in Late Imperial and Modern Chinese History, effective 1 August 2015. Appointment is expected to be at the rank of Assistant Professor, but appointment at a higher rank is possible under exceptional circumstances. The candidate will have an active and innovative research program, and will be expected to teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Ph.D. expected at time of appointment; teaching experience preferred.
