The History Department at Marquette University invites applications for an entry-level, tenure-track assistant professor in US colonial. Candidates must also have a strong background in Native American history. The successful candidate will be expected to teach the US survey, as well as advanced undergraduate and graduate courses in early American history and Native American history; maintain an active research agenda; and perform department service after the first year. PhD required by time of appointment. The regular teaching load in the department is five courses per academic year. Preference given for candidates with teaching experience. Video interviews will be held in late November or early December in lieu of AHA interviews.
