NORTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, The Department of Religious Studies invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track appointment beginning September 1, 2015 at the rank of Assistant Professor for a specialist in the study of Hinduism of any period. The department welcomes applicants with diverse research interests, such as classical texts, lived religious practice, material culture, and others. Candidates must demonstrate expertise in the relevant research languages. They must also combine their research interests with questions of theory and method and engage with Buddhist Studies. The successful candidate will contribute to the graduate and undergraduate programs of a religious studies department.
