We seek an Instructor in History and Social Science beginning in the 2014-15 academic year. Successful candidates must be prepared to teach students at every level in this four-year school, and, as a member of the department, participate in the instruction of courses in World History, or, US history required for the diploma. In addition, successful candidates will participate in ongoing curricular innovation and integration of technology within the department. Opportunities exist for multidisciplinary, experiential and on- and off-campus program development through a range of Academy resources. We seek candidates who will bring expertise in at least one of the following areas: Latin America, South and/or Central Asia, and East Asia. Specific assignments generally comprise three or four sections, most likely with two or three preparations. The Academy seeks dynamic individuals who will be active participants in all aspects of a residential school - teaching, house counseling, and coaching. A Master’s degree plus a minimum of three years teaching experience is preferred. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
