The Department of History is seeking applications for a tenure-track appointment in South Asian history from the early modern (ca. 1500) to contemporary period. The position will be on the Queens, New York campus, beginning September 1, 2014. Teaching will be at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Open field of specialization; ability to teach course on the modern British Empire desirable. Candidates must have a Ph.D., teaching experience and promising research agenda.
