GENERAL DUTIES
The Vice President is responsible for one or more major College divisions and serves as a member of the President's Cabinet. He/she incorporates innovative practices into plans and strategies and collaborates with other College and University executives, and outside organizations as needed, to develop appropriate policy and acquire resources. He/she is a dynamic leader of an executive team responsible for personnel, budget, operations, and communications.

CAMPUS SPECIFIC INFORMATION
Queensborough Community College, a member college of The City University of New York (CUNY), is located on a lush 37-acre campus in Bayside, Queens, New York. Queensborough offers a rich liberal arts and science curriculum as well as career and pre-professional courses. Queensborough Community College is committed to fostering a collaborative, learning-centered community. The College is searching for an experienced administrative and financial leader. Reporting to the College President, the Vice President for Finance and Administration serves as a member of the President's Cabinet. As the College's chief financial officer, the Vice President will develop, implement, and direct the financial and administrative policies of the College, including administrative technology operations. Responsibilities include oversight of operational and capital budgets, as well as for campus operations and facilities. The following are among the areas and departments that report to the Vice President for Finance and Administration: Buildings and Grounds, Campus Facilities, Procurement, Inventory Control and Central Receiving, Telecommunications, Mailroom, Transportation, Public Safety and Security, Environmental Health & Safety, Information Technology, Business and Fiscal Management, Treasury Management, Budget, Bursar, Accounting and Related Entities. The Vice President serves on the board of directors and as Treasurer of the Queensborough Community College Enterprise Association, Inc. and the Queensborough Community College Student Activities Association, Inc. The Vice President also serves on a number of College committees, as well as on numerous CUNY committees/councils.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
This position is in CUNY's Executive Compensation Plan. All executive positions require a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and eight years' related experience. Additional qualifications are defined below by the College.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
A minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible experience and proven leadership of budget development, financial management, information technology, and administrative operations in a higher education setting; demonstrated success in a senior-level management covering a broad portfolio; highly developed communications and interpersonal skills; and ability to interact effectively with faculty and staff personnel. A Master's degree or equivalent is required; an earned doctorate is preferred.
This is an Executive Compensation Plan position; salary and benefits are competitive.
