The History Department of the University of Denver invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track assistant professorship in Chinese history. Scholars of Ming/Qing history are especially encouraged to apply. Ph.D. preferred by time of appointment in September 2014. The successful candidate will teach a broad range of survey courses and undergraduate seminars in Chinese and/or East Asian history, to history majors and the general undergraduate population. The successful candidate will also guide undergraduate theses on a broad variety of topics in Chinese and East Asian history, including the twentieth century. Submit a letter of application, c.v., writing sample, teaching portfolio (including sample syllabi and student evaluations), and three letters of recommendation to Chinese History Search Committee, Department of History, University of Denver, 2000 East Asbury Avenue, Denver CO 80208-0930.
