The Department of History at the University of Utah seeks to appoint an entry-level tenure-track assistant professor in Southeast Asian History. The country of research specialization and historical period are open. This new position will augment the growing Southeast Asian sector in the university’s Title VI National Resource Center for Asian and Pacific Studies and complement existing topical strengths in colonialism and imperialism, world history, and transnational Islam. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to research and teach at all levels of the undergraduate and graduate curriculum. PhD in hand by July 1st 2014 preferred.
