Montana State University, Bozeman invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship in Latin American History. Chronological period and area of specialization are open; candidates with an interest in gender, or in transnational and comparative history, are especially encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate should be prepared to teach a Latin American survey, as well as upper-division courses in her/his areas of expertise. The candidate will be expected to contribute to the department’s graduate program. The Ph.D. is required by August 2013, as well as evidence of the ability to teach effectively and to conduct independent research.
We are a well-published, friendly department with a 2-2 teaching load, situated in a spectacular mountain environment.
