The Center for African American Studies (CAAS) at Princeton University seeks a professor (open rank) in the area of Race and Public Policy broadly defined. Race and Public Policy is one of three subfields in the CAAS curriculum. Academic fields of particular interest include: political science, sociology, social psychology, public affairs, education, economics, and law.
The successful candidate will have a record of scholarly publication that speaks to policy issues (historic or present, local, national, or international) and their racial implications. Additionally, the successful candidate will have a scholarly agenda that includes a plan to continue work that speaks to race and policy issues. Social science research methods (quantitative and/or qualitative) and a willingness to teach at least one methods course is a must.
