Applications are invited for one tenure-track and one possible tenure-track position, beginning Fall 2011. 1) Assistant Professor, tenure-track, to teach Public History, Colonial and Revolutionary America, Early National Period, and both U.S. history survey courses. Ph.D. in history required. Additional consideration given to applicants who are able to teach World Civilization surveys and to participate in the department’s online courses. 2) Assistant Professor, possible tenure-track, to teach World History (emphasis in China, Middle East, or Africa), British History, and World Civilization surveys. Ph.D. in history required. Additional consideration given to applicants willing to participate in the department’s online courses. Fort Hays State University is a public regional university. The course load is 12 hrs. per semester, with scholarly activity and service required.
