The Department of Political Science at The College of Wooster seeks to fill a tenure-track position in Comparative Politics, beginning in the fall of 2008. We are looking for a broadly trained specialist in Comparative Politics. The position is open with respect to subfield and region of specialization. The successful candidate must have demonstrated ability and willingness to teach introductory and advanced courses in Comparative Politics; to supervise independent research projects completed by majors in the Political Science Department and the interdisciplinary International Relations program; and to teach periodically in the College's interdisciplinary programs, including the writing-intensive First-Year Seminar Program. We prefer candidates who will have completed the Ph.D. in Political Science by the time of appointment.
