Troy University, Montgomery Campus is one of the campuses of Troy University, an international university with more than 25,000 students. Located in Montgomery, the capital city of Alabama, the Montgomery Campus is an urban evening university dedicated to providing excellence in traditional and non-traditional educational opportunities for mature students of all racial and ethnic backgrounds. Current enrollment is over 3000 students. The College of Arts and Sciences is the largest of the three academic colleges on the Montgomery Campus, with faculty committed to teaching and scholarship in their respective fields, and offers undergraduate degrees in the Arts and Sciences, graduate courses for degrees in education, and a graduate degree in Computer Science.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Troy University, Montgomery Campus is currently accepting applications for the full-time position of Lecturer of History in the College of Arts and Sciences. Duties include, but are not limited to: teaching survey, upper division, and graduate history courses, and performing University Service.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Qualified candidates must possess an earned doctorate in history from a regionally accredited institution of higher education.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in teaching undergraduate and graduate history courses, knowledge and experience in a variety of instructional delivery methods, and familiarity with adult learners are desirable. Emphasis in the American and European fields is preferred. Experience in curriculum development is also desirable.
