The Department of History at Bentley University invites applications for the position of full-time Lecturer in Russian and Soviet history to begin August 2010. Second field in Middle East history preferred. Demonstrated ability and interest in teaching courses on World War I, World War II, and the Cold War required. In addition to her/his specialized offerings, the applicant will also teach twentieth-century world history and participate in a growing History minor and Global Studies major. Applicants should submit a letter of introduction, C.V., samples of research (article, book chapter, etc.), teaching evaluations, and any additional supporting documents to https://jobs.bentley.edu. Three letters of recommendation should be sent under separate cover. Candidates must have PhD in hand by June 2010. Teaching load is four courses per semester. Scholarship is required and supported; salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications.
