HISTORY - Tenure Track Assistant Professor in U.S. History, 1830-1930. The History Department at Cal Poly State University, San Luis Obispo, California is especially interested in the following fields: African American, Western, Women's History, American Empire, or Civil War. Position begins September 14, 2009. The successful candidate will teach general education courses as well as upper-division and graduate courses in the area of specialization. Additional duties include professional development, advising and service. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Qualifications: Ph.D. in History must be completed by the date of appointment. Candidates must also have college teaching experience and a commitment to professional development.
