Job Description: North Georgia College & State University is currently accepting applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in modern Military History, pending approved funding. The anticipated employment date is August 1, 2009.
Job Duties: Teaching responsibilities include, but are not limited to, teaching the World History survey and upper level courses in area of specialization. The successful candidate must be able to teach Western Warfare and a graduate colloquium in Military History and must be willing to teach a course online as part of the rotation of courses. Other responsibilities include teaching 12 hours per semester, engaging in departmental, community and university service, and research and publication.
Qualifications: A Ph.D. in History in hand by August 1, 2009 and a record of teaching excellence.
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
