Middle East, including North Africa. The History Department of the University of Mississippi seeks to hire a tenure-track assistant professor with a specialization in the history of the Middle East, including North Africa. The successful applicant will teach an introductory survey of the history of the field as well as advanced undergraduate and graduate courses in his or her area of specialization. The expected teaching load will be two courses per semester. The appointment will begin in August 2009. A Ph.D. and teaching experience will be required by the start of the appointment.
