The History Department at Canisius College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in 20th-century European history with primary concentrations in Soviet Union/Eastern Europe and the period after 1945 and secondary concentrations in international history and/or a non-western region. The successful candidate will teach introductory European history courses to majors and non-majors and upper-level courses in the fields of his/her specialization. PhD in hand by August 2009 and teaching experience preferred. Preliminary interviews will be conducted at the AHA annual meeting.
