Colonial Latin American History. The history department at Central Michigan University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship to begin Fall 2009. Will teach Latin American and world history courses at the survey levels and advanced undergraduate and graduate level courses in colonial Latin American history, including courses in the departments Joint Doctoral Program in Transnational and Comparative History (see our website, http://www.chsbs.cmich.edu/history). Ability to teach advanced courses in Atlantic World desirable. Ph.D. in Latin American history required. Successful applicant must demonstrate potential for excellence in both teaching and scholarship. Send letter of application, c.v., list of graduate courses, evidence of successful teaching and scholarship, and at least three current letters of reference to Chair, Latin American History Search Committee, Department of History, Central Michigan University, Mt.
