The Department of History at Boston College seeks to hire a tenure-track Assistant Professor whose work explores the interplay of European, African, and/or indigenous American peoples during the colonial era. We would be especially interested in candidates whose work focuses on Colonial North America, New England, Native America, the Atlantic slave trade, or colonial revolutions. The successful candidate for this position will offer courses in his/her field of specialization and participate in the department's core curriculum in modern history and in the graduate program. Ph.D. required by August 2009.
