U.S. Political. The History Department of the University of North Carolina Wilmington invites applications for a tenure-track position as Assistant Professor of U.S. Political History, 1933-present, beginning August 2009. Applications from scholars of ethnicity, race or immigration are especially welcome. Teaching responsibilities include upper-level undergraduate and graduate courses in specialty and U.S. History survey. Strong commitment to teaching and scholarship required. Ph.D. in History or American Studies required; however ABD�s with an expected completion date of August, 2009 will be considered. Salary competitive. A comprehensive university situated in the historic port city of Wilmington, UNCW enrolls approximately 12,000 students and offers the opportunity to specialize in U.S. History at the M.A. level. Preliminary interviews will be conducted at the annual meeting of the AHA in New York.
