The Department of History and Classics at the University of Alberta invites applications for a tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor in United States history in any area prior to 1900. Qualified candidates should hold a doctoral degree by summer 2009 and demonstrate outstanding potential for a research career. Responsibilities will include teaching in both undergraduate and graduate student programs and maintaining an active research program.
