H. G. Barnard Chair in Western American History. The University of Tulsa invites nominations and applications for the H. G. Barnard Chair in Western American History, beginning Fall 2009. Candidates at the Associate or Full Professor level will be considered. The faculty member will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the history of the American West. The successful candidate will also play a role in the intellectual life of the Gilcrease Museum which will be managed by The University of Tulsa beginning July 1. Review of applications will begin September 15th and will continue until the position is filled. Interviews will be conducted at the Western History Association and the American Historical Association meetings.
