Japan United States Teaching Institute invites applications for a Language Instructor. Responsibilities include teaching English grammar and reading to Japanese students in grades 6 to 12 (language of instruction: Japanese) and, in collaboration with other faculty, preparing students for TOEFL, SAT, GRE, and Japanese university entrance exams. The instructor will also be involved in administration of educational programs and may be asked to consult on a post-secondary program in Japanese-English translation.
The successful candidate will be a native or near native speaker of Japanese with some teaching experience, interested in working in a small, friendly institute. Preference will be given to candidates with at least an M.A.
