Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the post of Professor/Senior Lecturer in Literatures in English.
The successful applicant will be a recognized authority in the field of West Indian literature (particularly poetry) and its theoretical contexts, as demonstrated by his/her track record in teaching, research and publication. He/she will be able to teach across a wide range of canonical and/or postcolonial literatures (again with a particular emphasis on poetry). The candidate will be joining a Department with a commitment to ongoing curriculum development, and will be expected to take a leading role in this area. Experience and expertise in the teaching of creative writing (poetry) would also be a distinct asset.
