Winthrop University invites applications for a non-tenure track, one academic year replacement position in African American History. Candidates must have an M.A. in History in the relevant area;Ph.D preferred. The appointment, which will include benefits, will be at the instructor/assistant professor level.Preference will be given to candidates who have had previous teaching experience, who are able to teach both sections of the United States History Survey and/or sections of the World History Sequence. An ability to teach African History also desirable, but not essential. Teaching duties will be four classes each semester, option of summer employment if funds are available.
