The School of Social Sciences in the Faculty of Arts is making one appointment at Lecturer (Level A) in British History.
The successful applicant will be expected to develop and teach general and specialist undergraduate courses in British History from the eighteenth century to the present, will have completed a PhD in a relevant area, and be committed to undertaking research and promoting the outcomes of that research. S/he will be willing to supervise research students and contribute to the vitality of the School, Faculty and College. An ability to teach courses in Irish history and/or British Imperial history, as well as contribute to Europe in the Modern Era (EURO1004), would be an advantage.
