The British Library Map Collections are the nation's heritage cartographic collection and one of the largest and most important map collections in the world.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our small but dedicated team as a specialist in printed and manuscript antiquarian maps, with particular emphasis on selecting antiquarian items to add to the collections and cataloguing. You will have substantial experience to professional level in working with and researching into antiquarian cartographic materials, preferably in a library or archives setting. You will have knowledge of at least one European language (in addition to English), and have an honours degree in history, geography or a related field.
The post involves line and matrix management, so you will have successful personnel management experience.
