The Fort Hays State University Department of History invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Public History to begin August 13, 2007. Ph.D. and a strong project based agenda required. Three or more years of experience in the field required as selected candidate will help build a successful Public History program. The successful candidate will teach courses in Public History as well as meet the department's other needs in Early Modern and Modern Europe and both World and U.S. surveys and participate in the department's distance delivered programming. The faculty member will work closely with area museums, archives, and libraries and co-direct the internship program. Experience with diverse media a valuable asset.
Fort Hays State University is a public regional university. The course load in 12 hours per semester, with scholarly activity and service also required.
