Applications are invited for the position of Assistant Lecturer/Lecturer in the Art History and Theory Programme within the Department of History. This position is for a fixed-term period from 19 June 2006 to 24 November 2006, working part-time (0.4 EFT/15 hours per week). Applications are welcome from postgraduate students who have completed a research Masters degree or the equivalent. Appointment at Lecturer level will require a completed PhD.
The successful applicant will be expected to teach a 200-level course, ARTH 217: New Zealand Art from the 1890s to the 1970s. The successful applicant will also act as a supervisor and internal examiner for fourth-year research papers. Previous experience in university teaching is desirable.
