PEMBROKE COLLEGE - CAMBRIDGE COLLEGE LECTURESHIP AND MARK KAPLANOFF FELLOWSHIP IN HISTORY Pembroke College invites applications for a College Lectureship in History with effect from 1 October 2003. The College seeks a specialist in some aspect of History since 1800, excluding the British Isles, and with a preference for the history of the United States of America. The successful candidate will be expected to provide twelve hours a week of undergraduate supervision and to share in the Direction of Studies in History for the College. The post is tenable for three years in the first instance, with the possibility of renewal for a further two years, and carries with it an Official Fellowship at Pembroke College. The Fellowship will be named in memory of Dr Mark Kaplanoff, a former Fellow in History. Stipend will be in accordance with the scale for a University Assistant Lecturer, depending on the age and experience of the person appointed; preference may be given to candidates who have recently gained a Ph.D. Degree.
