Call for for panel and paper proposals for the Political Studies Association 2015 Conference at Sheffield City Hall and Town Hall.
The conference theme of Civic Pride was inspired by these venues; what does civic pride mean in an era in which trust in elected politicians is falling and in which personal identities have been fractured? To what degree is social capital still expressed through membership of a shared physical space? What is the relationship between civic pride and economic equality? In a year that celebrates the 800th anniversary of the Magna Carta, what is the relationship between democracy and civic pride?
We invite paper and panel proposals on any topics related to the conference theme, as well as on other topics spanning the entire range of political studies.
For details of submission procedures, and to submit a panel or paper proposal, please see the conference website. Any questions about any aspects of the submission process should be directed to the academic convenor at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The final deadline for submission of all proposals is 13 October 2014. Earlier submission of proposals is encouraged.
