Great Asian Streets Symposium (GASS) 2014, themed “ASIAN URBAN PLACES”, aims to enhance the understanding of urbanity of Asian streets and public spaces. This sixth reunion aspires to investigate underlying urban transformation processes, discuss contemporary professional experiences and best practices, and explore future visions, design ideas, and planning strategies for Asian cities in a new era.
The conference is organized broadly along six themes: Urban Nature, Street Form and Morphology, Community Spaces, Heritage Conservation and Urban Regeneration, Street Networks, and Planning, Policies, Politics.
The event will be held at the National University of Singapore from 10-13 Dec 2014.
Authors interested in contributing a paper to any of the six themes of GASS 2014 are invited to submit an abstract through the GASS website. All abstracts will be reviewed by at least two scientific committee members. Presentations will be selected to provide a program that offers comprehensive treatment to the issued related to the six symposium themes.
