The Evergreen Education Foundation in conjunction with the Library Association of Hunan is pleased to announce the 6th ITIE conference in Changsha, China. The two day conference offers the opportunity for oral historians and archivists from China, the United States and around the world to exchange ideas about community oral history from local culture studies to planning and preservation of oral history. The seven themes are:

Planning Oral History
Role of Oral History in Student Learning
Legal and Ethical Aspects of Oral History
Oral History in the Digital Age
Oral History Archiving
Keynote speakers are Don Ritchie, Historian of the United States Senate; and Tu WeiMing, Dean of the Institute for Advanced Humanistic Studies, Peking University, and Research Professor and Senior Fellow of Asia Center, Harvard University.
Educational tours of China are available before and after the conference dates.
Registration is now open and early bird registration rates are available till August 15, 2014.
