I am looking for one more presenter-participants for a panel, “The Myths in/on/about Places” for the New Harmony Conference, November 6-8, 2014. My own paper discusses the Main Street idealism depicted in Norman Rockwell’s paintings of American small town life. The panel’s other member, Leah Powell, will present on her work about a character in Faulkner's novel Sanctuary, navigates rural and urban places in the modernizing South, and the implications of new modern places on a traditionally agricultural Southern identity .
To be considered for our panel, please send a 250-word abstract and CV to Kirin J. Makker, firstname.lastname@example.org by July 1, 2014.
